Title: Lambert and Stamp
Post by: babyshambler on April 09, 2014, 05:51:41 PM
I can't wait to see this (when it comes out on DVD...). I've often thought in the past that their relationship and that with the band would be worthy of at least a short doc.

Anyone planning to go?

3.50 charge to pick the ticket up from the box office plus 1.25 per ticket service charge? That's obscene!

Agreed mate but what can you do aside from not going. Totally outrageous though like when you print a ticket out at home using your own ink and printer and you still get charged especially when you have done it all yourself on-line. However I am still looking forward to seeing this as like with so many '60s bands the back story and guys behind them are equally as interesting as the bands themselves.

@ Our very own 'Moonie' I will do mate!

It's high time they brought some sort of legislation in to stop ridiculous charges like that. I'm fed up of having to add a large amount to the face value for no real reason.

It will be on BBC4 on a Friday night within the next 12 months.

Just been advised the film has been pulled from the Sundance Film Festival schedule. Hope it does get a release of some sort.

I saw this at the Curzon in Ripon on Monday night and enjoyed it a lot. There was plenty of footage I'd never seen before including some b/w of Pete in the studio playing Kit and Chris his new composition 'Glittering Girl' on an acoustic plus a few more interview featuring the rest of the band. I also learned a bit more of the back story and the decline and bitterness over the 'lost' Tommy script, etc.

It'll be worth getting the blu ray.

Sounds good mate. Already have this down as a DVD/Blu-Ray purchase. Not had the chance to see it here since they postponed the screening last year.

I found the footage on YouTube. I thought I'd seen all YT had to offer in terms of Who stuff, but no!
