Title: Should Mod be protected?
Post by: Bjoanmark on April 04, 2013, 08:45:01 PM
The latest news is Police in Manchester are going to record crimes against sub cultures like Goths an Emos as hate crimes. Should an attack on Mods also be recorded as hate crimes. Personally I think that if you were attacked for being a Mod it shouldn't be a hate crime as I wouldn't want to be included with the other groups I'd prefer a more exclusive offence, after all its about being better than the rest!  ;D

If police had to investigate every attack on a Mod that occurred in the early 1980's as a hate crime they would have never got around to doing anything else.

The trouble was that back then most coppers were Casuals when out of uniform so they were hardly friendly to us, eh?

Yes Mod should be protected. Like a rare species.

We need someone to head up the RSPCM.

I'll be organising collections around Soho soon. If anyone wants to do any bucket shaking and jar rattling, get in touch. We'll have a tribute band playing and a selection of goods from Lambretta Clothing just to show the public how bad things can get without their support.

Aren't there already age discrimination laws?

Equality Act 2010, replaced 116 seperate pieces of equality legislation.

Now 9 protected characteristics of which Age is one.

Me and Cover Button will be there rallying support in our Melandi skin tight ski pants and Dolly Shoes. We can organise Go Go dancing competitions, Beehive back-combing lessons and hold how to 'Be a Modette in 3 easy steps' Workshops. Thats if Cover Button can tear him/herself away from the Liberty make up counters and actually see what he/ she is doing through the weight of all the false eyelashes.
