Glad to see they re-did the collars to make them roll better...also glad they didn't go the "Micro Collar" route ( although, it would have been nice it they added a little length to the collar overall. Just a little mind you) .

The roll looks good in the photos. I had ordered a made to measure shirt from the Regents Street store shortly after it opened. The quality and fabric were good but the roll on the collar was a disappointment. If I recall correctly I had to explain what a locker loop was to the salesman.
Hopefully these will look in the cloth so to speak.

Interesting stuff. Glad the pocket has gone. I much prefer the stitched down back pleat of a Ben Sherman than the open centre pleat of a BB as I'm not shaped like a pear.
Anyone ever had any success with stitching in a centre pleat?
Now if they would only make them in a bit more vibrant colour than that insipid pale blue I'd be in!

Easy to stich in, quick job for your tailor. Although I'd leave the Brooks Britges shirt as it is and just go for their ultra slim fit range.

No way I'm going to pay 175 plus taxes just for a OCBD plain blue/white shirt, even it's Brooks Bros and made in USA. The same fabric is used for well done BD shirts by other makers and they offer them for less than 100 , sometimes for much less (Lean Garments is a good example). And why do they toy with classic details like the pocket (tho I know it suits you better, Rod  ;) )? Gant has reissued their classic OCBD without fussing with the true and tested staple (well, truth is they've dispensed with the pocket in the slimmer fits) and it's cheaper.

Just wait for the outlets to get them in

I got really lucky a few years ago and picked up one of their heritage line university stripe shirts in the York outlet. Reduced to 20. I nearly tripped over myself paying for it and getting out of the shop quickly.

Why? Were you afraid that they had made a mistake with the price tag?  ;)

Syd have you looked at Kamakura? Their standard line is around $79 and they are very popular with the 'collar roll geeks' out there!

Rod, take a look al the WAYW thread. That one was a present from my brother, he bought it in NY and I'm very pleased with it. But buying from them online is far from cheap: to the taxes (21 % VAT in Spain plus customs) you have to add the shipping costs (from Japan no less!)
