Title: McQueen's car resurfaces after 40 years
Post by: detroitmike on January 16, 2018, 12:49:03 AM
Ok, It's not Mod. And I'm an old "gear head",so maybe it's only cool to me, but it does have that Steve McQueen "province"

They're bringing it to the Detroit Auto Show next week for Ford's promotion...

It might not be Mod but it is certainly a classic movie and one of my all time personal favourites and an iconic car . I made a point of hiring a car a few years ago to drive down some of the roads in San Francisco that feature in the car chase . Obviously , as every schoolboy now knows , some of the scenes were filmed outside of SF in Daly City. .

Yeah maybe not Mod but McQueen wears some cool clothes and it is a very cool movie . .

Thanks for posting the link Mike. .

I am not a car guy as such. In fact I don't even drive but do like cars connected to films I am into. BULLITT is a classic all the way from McQueen's performance to his clobber and of course the car. A pal of mine is a bit of a car buff and until recently owned the same model Mustang as McQueen drove and whenever we went along to a rally and he took it the amount of attention it got amazed me. Class stuff.
