Twiddle my thumbs in the middle of a heatwave for four days until the insurance for my newly acquired Lammy kicks in. Rush home from work early on D-Day and it's pissing down.

Relentlessly.

Thanks a bleedin' lot, Big Man Upstairs.

For me definitely 'TO Harrington' because of their versatility. Have several, ranging from Baracuta through JtG to yank imports off eBay. My favourite is actually a plain black Feraud jacket I rummaged from TKMaxx. There's something about the fit and quality thats difficult to describe - it just FEELS right with dark jeans and black Clarks dessies.

Think they work for kids if thats the look you are going for, but anyone over the age of 30, a parka looks a bit silly.

Steered clear of parkas since the eighties probably because they're too much a reminder of the earnest but naive sartorial howlers I was making back then (a gruesome pair of red, white and blue bowling shoes spring to mind!). But must admit I recently found myself digging out my M51 when off out in the cold on my scoot. By Christ I'd forgotten how warm it was - partly, I think, because it covers the upper leg. Know what you mean about feeling silly though. Even though its plain and unpatched I won't wear it unless I am in spitting distance of my scooter or carrying a helmet and striding purposefully to or from it!

Superb looking Vintage Cycling Jersey - Deadstock in original bag... Wasn't sure to put this in the Cycling forum, but as it stands it could be a real bargain for the slimmer/smaller chap.

Nice, Lurker, nice.

And anyone who can't describe themselves as a 'slimmer chap' should be steering well clear of cycling jerseys!

. This is the sort of backpack I'm afterI saw this Boxfresh one in TKMaxx a while back for 15!!, didn't buy it, and it wasn't there next time..probably a good job if you read the review...

Any advice gratefully accepted ;)

The good thing about buying in TKMaxx is that you can handle the goods and don't have to read website sales bollocks. "A really easy way to access the heritage trend" made me shudder.

Just ordered two Mikkel Rude long sleeve shirts - pink and tartan - on the 2 for 1 deal thats on their website at the moment. A very welcome offer. And a whole lot more welcoming than the bloke modelling them whose expression suggests that, given half the chance, would quite like to punch my lights out.

Shirts arrived from that there Continent this morning - and bleedin' 'ansome they are too.

Is it wrong to admit getting an extra tingle of excitement from the Danish stamps on the parcel?
