Cheers Col. It looks to be due to mine at any minute if the tracker is to be believed. I do love a bit of old library stuff but this guy really is an absolute fanatic in the best possible way. My buddy advised he was a part of the SOUND GALLERY team which to this day is a regular part of my listening routine. More power to him and thanks for the pointers too mate.

Sound Gallery was a major game changer for me from a collecting and DJing perspective 👍🏽

Nice one mate. I only just heard about it. I mentioned it to a pal who said "Oh yeah Johnny Trunk is a mate of mine. Thought you knew about this?" I am coming very late to this Spider-Party. Can't wait for my copy. Due tomorrow I hope. Yeah it is funny but as library music the fella could pretty easy negotiate rights and fees but of course he can't mention the main selling point is that it was all used in the Spidey cartoon show but word is spreading and the cover looks great too. What's it like then mate? I have the DVD set and still watch an episode or two each week and that music is great.

Yeah, itís a decent compilation.  Iím a big library music fan anyway so nothing new for me here but the tracklist flows nicely.  Mainly bossa and beat-jazz.  All good.

Trunk also recently released a comp of the 3 KPM Jazz Conventions, which youíd probably like too 👍🏽

I grabbed a copy of that when it was released.

I find it amusing that they werenít allowed to say Spider-Man on any packaging or liner notes!  🕷

Trainers are now de rigueur for the masses , the bulk of the population from nae hair to grey hair , they all wear them pensioners to toddlers which is one good reason why l don't wear them much at all . I think back in the day the original Mods wore them because , the Hoi Poloi only wore them when they played sports and usually of the indoor variety , so those Mods were being different but if everyone is wearing them. .

Do you wear pants and socks?

Converse are OK, but too common for us, picky lot  8). Well, Jack Purcells are kosher.

Love the West Side Story connection, Martin.

If you do a bit of research, not only the US, but almost every european country has its own classic version of these basic canvas & rubber shoes/boots: Bensimon in France, Victoria in Spain (since 1960!), Superga in Italy, the czech Novestas and so on... Americans were the first, I guess, and there are still a few heritage brands out there to choose from, but maybe the best looking right now are the PF Flyers. The japanese brand Moonstar (stocked by John Simons) make a stylish version too (and yes, they look best in cream and/or white, especially after some months of abuse and no cleaning):

I like this style a lot.  I remember when you pick up Novestas from Army & Navy shops for a fiver!

I have some Purcellís but comfort-wise prefer the Stan Smith mids I picked up for £20 last year.

Have been seeing a lot of adverts recently for the Colchester Rubber Co who were the first firm to come up with this design, supposedly.

Iíve got some Adidas cycle shoes from about 10 years ago.  The 3 stripes are on the side of the heel.

I usually avoid pleated trousers, they just don't look right on me, too baggy in the waist. And denim is just suited for jeans, IMO. That said, those gurkhas look decent. I guess they'll be outageously expensive, like almost everything with the word "japanese" attached to it

Thatís why I thought they were suitable for this section.  Details I normally keep well away from but they look good/intriguing.

My friend at Michael Kors tells me that double-buckled loafers will be massive in Spring.
