Yeah those look OK but as you say collars could be bigger and prices...lower. These sort often spring up in TK MAXX so I always keep my eyes open for them in the 25 range. Do like that green one though. Talking of Keith Moon, and swerving off topic a bit, Daltrey has announced that bio-pic is now back on the cards. They've been talking about one for donkeys years. Going back as far as John Sessions being named to play him 25 or so years back. Then Mike Myers about ten years after that. In the light of the new QUEEN one and the upcoming Elton John one I guess they think interest in these sort of films is high and worth another punt to get it out there.

Sounds interesting mate. I dobbed in to the KINKS photo/memorabilia exhibit off of The Strand last week. Basically a promo for the 'VILLAGE GREEN' re-issue and a chance for the gallery to sell some photos of the band from that period in frames etc. However well worth a visit for those in London area.

Cheers mate. These are the measurements of one I recently got on ETSY that was pretty much spot on for me:

Shoulders: 18"
Chest: 21.5"
Waist: 20.5"
Length, top of collar to bottom of jacket: 30.5"
Sleeve, from the shoulder seam: 23.5"

Fantastic story Simon. I'm not knocking The band at all. I bloody love 'em and have seen them countless times over the last 30 years. My Uncle was a fan as a teenager so I grew up with their stuff in the house including QUADROPHENIA and that amazing booklet that came attached to it. I think there were however a fair few bands of that era who Mods went to see simply because young kids went to the local dance halls and clubs as it was the pre record spinning era on the main. The Who, under Meaden's, guidance then saw a gap in the market and thought it an idea to give these potential hardcore Mod punters a figurehead group. Of course to some extent they succeeded particularly when Lambert and Stamp came on the scene.

Without drifting off topic I'd agree for me RUBBER SOUL/REVOLVER are hard to separate in my affections for the Fabs.

I think I'm with you guys. Not for me. At a push the check one is half OK if someone bought it for me as a gift and I didn't want to hurt their feelings. The thing is is that if the company sling a load of money at Moon's Estate they are never going to turn it down. Same as a few years back when I think Lambretta did a WHO endorsed/inspired range. The remaining band members always admit their actual connection to the Mod thing was tenuous and contrived but they do however embrace the fact that they will be forever entwined with it all as far as the general public are concerned. In honesty though I doubt anyone will have to wait long until TK MAXX are awash with these items if they are keen to buy them even as items of Who/Moon memorabilia.

I do like this style although I wouldn't myself but it is very Christopher Eccleston DR WHO so gets a thumbs up here. Good price I understand for this type of thing.

That's lovely and exactly the sort of thing you'd be prepared to take a chance on even knowing the odds were againts you.

I agree an on-line/ETSY/eBay purchase can often be a hit and miss affair. However I have been fortunate to have only ever had two duff buys, the jacket above being one of them. Never the fault of the seller as I recall in this case me being so in love with the jacket I went into the transaction thinking "It'll be fine" when I really knew it was going to be a bit big but just didn't want to let it go.
