The Secret Life of Flies by Erica McAlister

A great little book on some of the most underappreciated creatures in the world.
There are some amazing stories of their life cycles and how they live at the different life stages. You'll look at mosquitoes in a different light and might not be so quick to want to kill them all.
One fly has a tongue 8 times longer than its body.

Just on the rugby shirt look, does anyone else know 'The Eyes'? I quite liked the eye image on their tops and always meant to try it out sometime (but done in a more classy way than them).

I went yesterday to the Oxford street River Island as I'd seen this jacket (link below) which looked rather nice. However, they didn't have the burgundy one but I tried the green version. A word of warning about River Island - It might look nice on their website but up close it's a bit cheap and nasty. I very nearly bought it online but decided to check it just in case which I'm very glad I did. Buyer beware!

Wow, what a find. Some beautiful dresses and obviously the people behind it know their references.
I wish I knew women who dressed like that. Sigh.

I've never got any Abercrombie and Fitch stuff so can't comment on quality or fit but I like the pattern. OK for 58 I reckon

I did a bit of digging into The Gigi and found the website for the parent company Gabucci which seems to be Swedish. Some nice stuff but proper money. The conversion from Swedish Krona to pounds is 0.086 which means this beautiful pea coat will set you back 2881 + postage.

Oh dear that's not good. I've always seen modernism as being all about internationalism and opening up to other cultural influences. The very opposite of fascism.

I like your response. Very apt.
