Mod fashion and style / MOSCOT shades...
« on: May 30, 2018, 01:05:41 PM »
Just received an email from the Tonic shoppe about Moscot eyewear, had never heard of this brand but they are in NYC (which I'm heading to in a couple of weeks to check out the final stop of the "David Bowie is" show at the Brooklyn museum), and looks like they're worth a stop

Ok, It's not Mod. And I'm an old "gear head",so maybe it's only cool to me, but it does have that Steve McQueen "province"

Mod fashion and style / Undandy, let me just say...
« on: September 19, 2017, 11:38:55 PM »
OK, so it goes like this: I ordered a pair of "customized" shoes from Undandy last May 29th, after they sent out 2 pairs of the wrong shoes, plus a pair of "complimentary" shoes (which didn't look good on me) for all the trouble, I finally did receive the original pair ordered last week...
For all the bother, they actually refunded my original payment of $199, PLUS did another pair for me free...
The shoes are actually very well made for the money, and comfortable from the first wearing.
I'm not going to say it wasn't frustrating, but they did do everything they could to make it right, so I can't recommend them enough...

Mod fashion and style / undandy shoes...
« on: June 22, 2017, 03:09:32 PM »
Someone posted a link to "undandy" shoe site.
https://www.undandy.com/
they sounded reasonably priced, with a free return policy even on "customized" shoes  So, I ordered a pair in in a 2 tone color, and received the shoes yesterday.
They fit fine, are comfortable, quality looks "ok", not up to an Allen Edmunds shoe, but a little better than Zara for about 1/2 price of an Edmunds shoe (AE doesn't do special orders any longer)...
Unfortunately they sent the shoe out in the wrong color... :(  on the upside, I'll see now how their customer service is...

Scoots and scootering / S2 Rear Wheel...Wat's the trick?
« on: April 23, 2017, 09:36:26 PM »
OK, finally after years of waiting for painters, my engine guy... I'm starting to put my 1960 Lamb. S2 project together... ran into a small snag today. I installed the engine with the rear wheel assembled. Now I need to remove it to put a "wheel holder" I made  (from the Sticky manual) to torque the hub nut down ( are you still with me? :o )
Trouble is, I cannot get the wheel out with the side cover lock "perch"  in the way.
Anyone have an S2 that knows the trick?
