This sounds pretty interesting (thanks to the Mod Generation's guys for the heads up), as it means the rights to the much revered footage of the show -or what's left from it- have been unlocked at last.

Now the question is: what are BMG planning releases-wise? The fact that until now they've just issued a cheap 60s CD comp with "Ready Steady Go!" in the title as a selling point doesn't look very promising.
I was under the assumption that Dave Clark (glad all over) had this and other 60's treasure locked in his personal vault and was refusing to share .

Seeing as childhood featured so high in most our best of 2017 lists , I add this link to singer ben's latest side project. Not sure I particularly like the tune but interesting video featuring a young modette looking like an extra from 'this is England'

Some great/interesting highlights of 2017, I will indulge (deezer) in many of those .
The no.1 album in my list goes to the hardest working musician of 2017 (worked with- Beck,Thomas Walsh,Noel Gallagher. etc)  =  Jason Falkner  (ex jellyfish) and his collaboration from earlier in the year , a masterpiece of lo fi power pop with great song writing and beatlesque harmonies (think- xtc/dukes of stratosphere) , they even add to the fun with a mid album change of tempo covering a late 50's rocker that sounds and swings like a tune from jungle book (original movie).  lend this 1 your ear and go check out there superb respective back catalogues .

make it be -  r stevie moore & Jason Falkner
Yesterday gone - loyle Carner
witness - Benjamin Booker
Universal high - childhood
Wild kingdom - cotton Mather
The underside of power - Algiers
Michael head - adios senor pussycat
as you were - Liam Gallagher
silver lake - pugwash
needles//pins - goodnight,tomorrow. (punk/new wave)
god first - mr jukes
how the west was won - Peter perrett

Big fan of the N3b parka from alpha industries,  which also comes in a slim fit. I wore my dad's until it died of old age and then bought a new one, and I still live it. Keeps you warm, great for scooters, comfy pockets , and a classic look, very Ice Station Zebra.

Great coat but trying to steer clear of the jet fighter look , plans to visit m/c. Outdoor stores this w/end.
