The drawstring thing is a sartorial abomination, period.
Re. pleats, as Rod points out, are a choice that depends mainly on your body shape. I try to avoid them personally. Funny you all mention Suitsupply, as they made some gorgeous flat front, frog-mouth pockets strides for their premium line (not sure if those are still in stock, I've got 2 pairs from some years ago). I disagree with Rod regarding high waist troos tho', as some of them can suit superbly even slender frames (high waisted chinos are a case in point)

the white hi waisted chinos you recently recommended had to much of a continental styling and therefore zero appeal to a UK wardrobe

Lee Fields and the Expressions "It Rains Love"
Michael Kiwanuka
Stevie Wonder "Talking Book"
Bob Seger System (Ever since I heard Tarantino use Ramblin' Gamblin' Man in "...Hollywood", I'm reminded I never had a copy of that record which was BIG on local CKLW-AM radio in the late 60's here...right between the Brit Invasion and Motown)
superb choices there , Bob Seger and the  Ann Arbor, Michigan  music scene have brought us some great bands/albums , the rationals spring to mind  (bob and iggy have backing credits on some their records)

Few suggestions on Facebook about a potential exhibition of his work - would love to see it, if a crowdfunder is set up, hopefully Dave can post in here!
always enjoyed his artwork and decided this weekend would be the perfect time to own it, so bought 2x ltd prints.
