Thanks GS. Yes, a nice Breton has its place. Chinos, Breton and quality Dessies will be my go to for my trip to Italy in the summer  ;)

I'm far removed from a younger Mod, Simon, being just the wrong side of 50. However I still think a classic Breton T or Knit works. I definitely don't do shiny suits...Talking about St James, their factory is just down the road from a small house we have in France. They do sometimes have a factory outlet sale for the locals. We tried it but it was a real bun fight...gave up in the end ;)

Agree GS. That's why I wouldn't buy one item, and due to their rather regular sales, nothing at full price....

Agree GS, there are bargains, and not just end of season stuff. I bought a couple of s/s Bretons in readiness for summer. Shipping to me here in Essex was 15 euros for three items. Not over the top but could have been a bit cheaper I agree. Worth a look Simon all the same

Looking at Harringtons, Capirari have just brought out their own range. Nice looking, but 335 euros is s bit steep. Think I'll still to my JTG UK made ones at 50 a pop....

Like that suit Rod, and agree fits well. I am not sure about the socks though. IMHO I think I would have looked for a green and blue Argyle particularly if the green could match or be close to the tie colour rather than a solid block green, but that is only my opinion and I hope I haven't offended.

I do like that blazer Martin. I'm with Rod on the hat.The UK weather has been rubbish but I think a quality brolly would have complimented the look rather than the cap but that's only my opinion mate. Its a well thought out look overall

Thanks for that heads up Laird. I've been looking for a summer weight patch pocket blazer. I'll order the stone one.

I do it on my JTG raincoat, and on my Gloverall Reefer, for function against the elements but on a polo, nope. I don't want to look like some high street trendy thank you very much...
