Both nice but as noted as ever with this type of top cheaper alternatives are out there. Maybe not with a Silk thread somewhere amongst it but I ain't too bothered about that. However I have no argument with anyone who buys from lower end or upper for this type of top. If a bloke thinks "F**k that sort of price NEXT/ZARA etc does me alright for a casual knockabout Polo" good luck to them.  Similarly if a fella prefers a Fred Perry or Art Gallery thing or something of even higher price because they know it will tick all the boxes I say fair play to them. As always it is what you match this top up with that sets it apart and how you wear it too.

Well spotted too mate. Think the Carnaby St exhibit is on for just a couple more days but if you are around and about worth dobbing in.

Cheers mate! Made sure I saw MY GENERATION. Went to the exhibit yesterday. Nothing to set the world on fire but free and I was up in London anyhow so definitely worth dobbing in for it. The film I managed to see at an early morning screening up at The Curzon Mayfair today. A fantastic old 60s Cinema too with vintage fixtures and fittings in the foyer so it added to the experience. A mob of guys and gals I know from various events pitched up too which was nice. As you say quite a bit of new footage even for fellas like us but a few old faves in there too. Odds and ends from LOOK AT LIFE and certainly THE LONDON NOBODY KNOWS too but plenty of fresh stuff as well. Great soundtrack as well featuring all the real stuff as well which is of course rare for these sort of films but this was a league above most I've seen before of this ilk. With Caine aboard it opened up a door or two I'm sure. A standout for me was a brief clip of Bowie as he appeared on that first Deram LP. He appeared a bit later in the oft seen clip talking about young lads with long hair but the earlier clip in a boutique went unnoticed seemingly. Looking forward to the DVD release and the TV show as you mentioned. I saw the Q&A too which was reshown as part of the event. Very envious you actually got a ticket for the event.

Nice run down of the evening mate. Max and I blew out and were a bit disheartened to have to see it at a local flea pit. Will wait for the DVD. I'm guessing that you mention Peter Whitehead he of Rolling Stones fame yeah? Will try and dob into the exhibition Saturday. Nice one mate.

Cheers guys. The cap is only an act of weather-dictating necessity with me so not something I ever generally sport. For me I'd rather put on a mac and cap and be done with it rather than faffing with a brollie as I am generally on and off trains and stuff on my commute hence my reticence to use one. Even the mac has the sleeves folded up inside due to my short arms BTW. I think I did post a picture of the blazer when first purchased but that was when I could easy handle the picture hosting site I used at the time (Imageshack?) I think it went under so until GS suggested IMGUR I was bereft of the ability to post. I'd like to think if for comedy value I looked like anyone it would be Moon as Uncle Ernie though!

Cheers GS. Yeah the weather here, certainly yesterday, was cold and wet still. Dry today but cold and worse on the way I hear. The Mac was from M&S and was about 150. Then reduced to 100 until I finally saw it reduced to 75. As I went to pay the lady keyed it all in and told me it had been reduced further to 50! The jacket is a decent fit and was an ETSY thing about three or four years back. Needed the sleeves taking up as is often the case but that aside was a bit of a result because it was only about twenty quid. Probably paid more to get it shipped and altered.

Following on from the lovely Gloveral Mac GS posted I was wearing similar today. A vintage back buckled cap and a trusty bit of M&S from about 10 years back and a PECKHAM RYE scarf. Also what I was wearing beneath. A vintage hopsack US blazer, a JUMP THE GUN shirt, bog standard trousers and Bass Weejuns. Having enjoyed you guys' posts over the years I may as well weigh in a bit now I am able to get my head around posting.

Standout for me is that mac mate. Bloody nice and the storm latch at the neck is nice to see too. I'm guessing it is removable too.
