Another vote for the Tyrwhitt coats. I own 2 and they're really nice quality.
I also bought this one from Schott (minus the shoulder epaulets ) last year:

Babe Ruth - The Mexican

Swing your pants!

Love the Ennio Morricone quote! Are you through a 70s funk-prog phase, Woody? You should check this comp out:

I'm listening to the newest Will Sessions LP

Sounds very Parliment/Funkadelic and a little late 60's Marvin Gaye to me...

totally agree with you guys re: GaGa, the "jazz singer".
I think a lot of these pop divas think all they need is their imitation of "Back to Black" to make them bona fide jazz singers
Next, Taylor Swift's "Billie Holiday Tribute" album!

Shag's work was popular enough to spawn imitations. There was a local guy here who called himself "Slaw" doing the same style of art.

Mike,

Just a thought,

Do you think that Slaw was maybe Shag doing a bit on the side! ;)

Actually, "Slaw" was in the auto business same time I was, so I did meet him... no, it wasn't the same guy. I saw shows by both of them at a gallery (at different times, of course). ;)

Barr's style on some of his work does look like the Lynch paintings, I knew it looked familiar, but didn't know why till I saw your post!

For something in the same vein, but a bit "darker", this is one of my fav local artists: http://www.glbarr.com/gallery/

Well, besides thinning out the wardrobe and getting rid of items I haven't looked at in awhile, I'm going to be much more selective of what I'm buying this year.
Also I need to find a tailor service that can actually make me EXACTLY what I want... paid good money for a suit or 2 last year that I was promised " they can make anything I want", only to be disappointed when it was finally delivered!

Hey! Speaking from personal experience, nothing wrong with "clown feet"!
I'm not sure how people with smaller feet aren't constantly tipping over... ;D
I haven't seen PF Flyers since I was a kid, thanks for jolting my memory... I don't need another pair of sneakers but if I did, I'd have the white/cream ones also...
