Leer that jacket must have somehow taken on the hue of the predominant colour on my screen, or to my eye, as it looks red to me.

 :o

@ Martin: Cheers, mine is the grey striped version...
@ Greenie: thanks alot -  nope, it wasn't like that stock, it was 2 button - I had the 3rd Button added and due to the lapel roll itself it became a 3/2 roll :) (like I intended it ;) )

Good stuff, Martin! You wear it well, I especially like your gig-effort... and your son plays a cool bass! 👍

I do have such an ultralight Uniqlo, too (this was about 6-7 weeks ago):

Thanks, Greenstreet - I have an Ivy outfit, too -- linked it, but did not post the pic on here. This is... probably closer to Mod (closer. not more :D ;) ) - the hat outfit is more for Claudio's current road I guess ;)

Take a look at the bunnets oan here mate.

Yeah, that's the idea, Laird, thanks, and well priced they are too. Anyway, I reckon Harris Tweed might be too heavy a cloth for our mild winters, so I'll take a look first at the couple of old headgear shops we've got here.

The Laid's tip is a good one, very cool stuff. I can understand why Harris Tweed is too heavy for ya (in Austria winter can be really cold, so I am very tempted by those) - I would suggest Hanna Hats:

I guess in the end the fit makes the difference... and of course I myself tend to freshen the blazer/grey strides look up with a cardigan, tennis sweater, an interesting tie etc. - I like black shoes but also wear brown/burgundy longwings, chokolate suede chukkas etc... cordovan coloured tassel loafers like Aldens are also a nice touch.

Of course that look can have a rather uninteresting touch... so yes, therefore you are right...

Well, wasn't referring to the trousers, just the overall combination - as an example that it isn't necessarily a "security guard"-look. And I like some exaggerated fashion at least as inspiration - when I myself gonna wear pleats it is a very different look though!

To give more classic examples - here I prefer Lazenbyand Caine:

P.S.: if "four eyes" had slimmer trousers that were long enough then his look would be a really good one. Think about it. The quilted vest is debatable though.
