A good watch Doc,band were on fire then. Bobbys right in saying that the probably won't better it.
Denise is quoted on film a few times on this,as she was a big part of it, im sure she'll get the payment/credit she deserves.  ;)

Ady, aye laughed at that.

Hi GS,

Currently reading Ska'd for Life by Horace Panter, bass player with the Specials.

It's ok with some worthwhile inside accounts of how the band and the 2 tone movement made it mark.

Saw them a couple of times at the old Glasgow Apollo back in 79/80. Not seen them since and don't want to. Saw a couple of things on youtube which put me off. I don't want to spoil those memories.

The Lucid Dream - Actualisation. Great review on Monkey's blog about this one.
Primal Scream - Give Out...original Memphis recordings. Much prefer this to the '94 version. Much more rootsy.
Various - St. Etienne present songs for the Carnegie Deli. There's something I find just fantastic about those NYC Brill Building big production songs of the 60s and this one ticks the boxes.

A wee bit late but the story of the Memphis recordings is on BBC 4 at 9 tonight.

It's followed by a programme about David Rodigan and then one about Reggae. The beers are chilling nicely for this.

I'm sure they'll be available on BBC sounds/ iPlayer in future also.

Too tight for me from the calf down.

Sweater is ok though.

Same with the ghurkas, would consider them if there were more parallel leg.
