What he said! ^^

Even though I'm of Irish heritage, never liked faux Irish boozers.

You'll find me in the wee backstreet tapas bars amigo!

Good to hear that Woody , soaking up the culture. Usually , the best bars in the wee side streets . .and they are many . .

Reportedly, we have the highest bar-citizen ratio in the whole wide world, lol.
That may well be true but you rarely see a Spaniard drunk , it is much more friendly and less antagonistic than some places. .
I have had many a great night out with Spaniards and none of us were drunk but had a fantastic laugh nonetheless . I remember getting taken to an Argentinian restaurant around 1982 , they thought that it was funny . .

Did ye huv the Maradona Kebab?

Here, booze and getting high is considered a means to having a good time, not an end in itself.

G inspired

I really like the look of those, and some similar ones Syd posted up (from Vietnam??) I a nicer cognac leather colour.

Im just not sure how to deploy them in an outfit. I did a blog post a few months back about my search for the ultimate bowling shoe (very similar style to bike shoes) and once I finally got them they sat in the cupboard unworn as driving mocs or gazelles always seemed to take precedence. More recently I got some cobalt blue Eddie Merckx vintage cycling shoes which again I hunted down for ages.

Anyone have any of these niche shoes? What would you wear them with?

Agreed certainly nice enough but a lot of dough for what they are. I just nabbed a pair of Jack Purcells from TK MAXX. 18 so no complaints from me. Some prefer things a bit higher end I know but these are a bit over the top for me in terms of cost.

That's a steal!!! I wish there was something akin to TK MAXX here.

Agreed mate. Not a big trainers fella myself but Sperry Topsiders usually do the trick for me but always fancied a pair of the Purcells but generally pretty pricey for what, to me anyway, is simply a good quality plimsolls.
