That Miles Davis documentary 'Birth of the Cool' on BBC 4 has piqued my interest in his later 'fusion' oeuvre. Currently checking out 'Bitches Brew'.

I have little to no interest in Jazz but I have to say I really enjoyed the music and the documentary.
Not stuck in the 60's

The Shadows of Knight - Gloria, some classic garage from 66. To be followed by Kamasi Washington and some Gene Clark

Which one of Gene Clark, Nick? I love especially the Gosdin Brothers collab (btw, there's a great comp of their late 60s stuff in Big Beat-Ace) and the masterpiece "No Other"

Coincidentally watched "Birth" yesterday, stellar work, up there with "I Called him Morgan" , and essential for fans of the musician (or the myth) and fans of style alike. Loved his wife (Frances) recollections, talk about false modesty 😂.
Frankly, Miles "Bitches", albeit seminal, isn't an easy listening (though it can be haunting, hypnotic music), I'd begin with "Miles in the Sky" or even "In a Silent Way", somewhat more listener-friendly

I discovered the Gosdin Brothers stuff only quite recently, Rafa, and it is tremendous, but yesterday was a "No Other" day. As you say, a masterpiece.
