Good 'ol R&B, Simon. Isn't he the guy of "I Spy for the FBI" fame?

The one and the same, Syd! ;-)

Cheers, Becky, hope everything's going OK Downunder!  :)

I'm going OK, but I can't say the same about my home town of Melbourne. You have to wear a mask EVERYWHERE...

You should go full Ned Kelly and get a tin helmet.

Then walk into the bank.     ;D

Nah. He was Irish anyway, not Australian. :-)

Was Mick Jagger Irish?!?!  :o ;D

Lol! Good one, Syd!  ;D

Sharhabil Ahmed - The King of Sudanese Jazz. Flagged up to me by the always reliable Monkey Picks (formerly of this parrish), it was completely new to me, but I've now played it 3 times since yesterday. This is the opening track:

Check the album out, you won't be disappointed.  8)

Good stuff, Nick! Kind of arabic music meets garage rock; well, not exactly that but lively, vibrant music with obvious Western influences and an unmistakably Mid-Eastern tinge.Apparently Mulatu Astakte is a deep influence of Sharhabil and it shows.

I'm not familiar with Mulatu Astakte, one for the always expanding list, Rafa!
