You Tube thread
« on: March 28, 2013, 04:49:17 PM »
One of my fave topics of the previous forum was the YouTube thread where people posted clips of interest so I thought I'd get the ball rolling with a couple...

Here's Gerri Hall with Who Can I Run To:

and The Stones from '72 with their version of Slim Harpo's Hipshake

And will you shorten the sleeves, love? I'm not a gorilla.

Like a bit of James Hunter though that recording doesn't do him justice...hopefully the new album will be up there with the last 2.

I'm not sure if it's the recording so much Woody, or him struggling with his voice on the night. Those long tours of flights and wailing every night for months must take their toll. He soon loosened up 'though.

If you liked the past few, you won't be disappointed with the new album.

I'm sure your right Bill,

Just to tie it into main thread, this song always reminds of JH,particularly the brass arrangement.

Ahhhh. I've never thought that way before, Woody - but now you point it out....
As you say - back on track: my JH vocal soundalike sees your brass soundalike -

Bill,

Great tune.

JH has always reminded me of this guy.Though its probably unfair on him to be comparing him to all and sundry.

I'll raise you this one anyway  :)
