This is dedicated to Martin (though I'm sure it'll bring back memories to some more brit gents of a certain vintage). In fact the tune is part of the 6 CD comp. "Fab Gear", in which I'm immersed these days (yes, that ancient music again, it's an addiction!):

I will have a look at home mate. Blocked from YOU TUBE and such like at work I'm afraid. Sounds interesting though. Cheers fella.

It turns out that one of the more demented freakbeat tracks ever was recorded in Madrid in 1965 (albeit by a brit band, the Tomcats, later July). It's loosely based in an old, classic "copla" and they keep parts of the spanish lyric but, my, the pronunciation!:

But the "psychedelic jacket" is just a bit over the top, lol.

Fantastic bit of footage and Valerie Leon in there too! Love it. Funny I happened to be up in London yesterday and looked in the Ben Sherman shop in Carnaby St. Generally not much to write home about but interested to see their revival of the 'Twisted Label' range. The shirt they have on display is a little bit 'Swirly' for me but the collar was lovely and the label itself was white but twisted and the logo much like the originals were in the 60s and early 70s. I have one myself from then which I wear here and there as it is almost a collectible now and don't want to rough it up too much.

The collars on their "archive" reissue shirts are much better than in their regular range.
