Ahh The Lemon Dips, always nice to see a great Psych band in a Northern Playlist, I understand they used to play The Present "Many's the Slip" at Wigan Casino.

Does anyone play out more later stuff such as this Weller track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcoKaUoMxbo

The Undertones Got to have you back
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfUj7IL0ULQ&index=1&list=ALBTKoXRg38BAV5Au5NSY0AL_lm9VCjyWb

The Third Degree Mercy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YU12FrWWVqA ?

I've been known to drop the Third Degree single into my sets as well as:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hA-33KEETlU

I still like to drop this old Paul Hallam spin by The Clash's drummer (with brilliant vocals from Jimmy Helms) in from time to time as well:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PJSOF2dhXw&list=PL3lyXe6ufQjb9JBKuWPaa9A3wRZBUL6E1

Ian B

That Topper Headon track is superb, Ian. His album is unknown to me, but it won't be for long. Great call!

It's been years since I attended my last mod do, so I don't know what's being played nowadays, but in this particular instant I'd vote for David Newman's "Miss Minnie", Max Harris' "Gurney Slade" and a left field choice: the John Renbourn cover of "Sweet potato" (hey, how about the idea of an unplugged mod session?)

The Alan Haven's cover of Norwegian Wood. It's a little bit over the top, Swinging London-Austin Powers territory, but I think it would go down a storm at a club.
