I'm a big fan of The Dualers (reggae, ska and rocksteady), the Aggrolites (fusion of reggae, soul and funk) and Ska Cubano who I have seen and met many times (ska, cuban, mambo etc). Natty Bo, the lead singer/band leader, is also in the Top Cats.

Many I would suggest have already been done (Benny Westmore, New Street Adventure, etc.).
But, I also quite like The Sha La La's!
Been listening to their tracks via Reverb Nation for a couple of months now and like them just as much as when I first heard them.

Of course, you may already be aware of this group; but, just in case not....
Keep the faith, keep on keeping on, and keep it Mod!

Going to see Michael Kiwanuka next month, love his debut LP!

I´m slightly biased, but Nicole Willis and the Soul Investigators´ new LP is top drawer. Easily the best band in Scandinavia right now.

If you can still find a copy, the John´s Childrens´ Record Store 7" is just about the best thing ever!

Can't recommend Vintage Trouble enough, they are gritty and down and dirty rock and soul. Saw them supporting The Who, and they put on a great show, really energetic well worth taking the time to see them or if not listen to them on YouTube or their Album 'The Bomb Shelter Sessions'.

THE YEARNING – Still In Love 10" Highly recommended if you're into girl group sounds.

Don't like the pop sound of most of modern "retro" bands. Or garage revival band #35209874 who sounds like all the other bands.
But I like this:

Mr. President - The Best Is Yet To Come

TT Syndicate - No Money

You know me - I'm acting dumb. You know the scene - very humdrum. Boredom.
