Due to my PX125 about to be written off, does anybody know of anyone selling one in the east riding / Yorkshire area?

Try the local gumtree, Stax, I've picked up a few scooter bits off my local version

Alternatively, have a look for your nearest dealer  https://www.piaggiogroup.co.uk/vespa-uk-dealers/

Thanks. I think dealers are a no go now they've stopped the PX unfortunately.

I'm a member of this forum http://vespa.proboards.com/ Might be worth joining (great resource for the mechanically challenged!) and posting something on there. Lots of old scooter heads on there who will know what's about

Stax there's a couple of selling  groups on Facebook that always have scoots for sale.
My mate John McLaughlin also buys and sells scooters but he's in Cumbria, if it's not too far foy you I can pm you his number?

Thanks. Cumbria is a bit too far but if I draw a blank locally I'll definitely start looking further afield.

I ended up buying an LML. Vespas seemed to be few and far between in my neck of the woods and i suppose the prices are rising now. I saw the LML and went for it because i'll have a few quid left over from my insurance pay-out to do it up a bit.

Not a bad option.  Interchangeable, so every time you need to replace something, opt for Piaggio or one of those quality Teutonic variations.
