Gene Clark 1967
« on: May 20, 2018, 03:31:56 PM »
This well might be the discovery of the year, no less than 14 demos recorded by the great Gene Clark in 1967 for Mercury Records! The brief snippet of a song I've sampled in Amazon (Doctor Doctor) is nothing short of stunning, classic mid-60s US folk-rock. If the remaining tracks are up to this level, we're in for a treat. Due to appear mid-june.

On my list ;)  alongside this ...

Top stuff, I'll pass on it however, as I've already got the Springfield "oeuvre" on diverse formats (including a rare 2LP comp and the third LP in vinyl),AND the (somewhat disappointing) big CD boxset issued some years ago.
