Had tae get ma wee best pal put tae sleep oan Saturday.

Absolutely gutted n' havin' tae endure sporadic bursts ay greetin' like a wean ever since.

Hoose seems strange withoot ma wee furry pal.

Tough stuff to deal with mate. Very much an animal person myself and if you have a pet as they should be kept the loss is no different to a member of the family. Dogs and cats especially are a big presence in a household and their departure leaves a massive void. Try to be positive but let it out too when you have to mate.

We’ve only had a dog (Bedlington Terrier) 3 years and am already dreading the day he has to go

Some folk scoff at the idea, Laird, but losing a pet is like losing a part of the family. Our old family cat had to be put to sleep a few years back and I still find myself looking for her when I visit my ma. Tough one, bud, but keep your head up
