MOSCOT shades...
« on: May 30, 2018, 01:05:41 PM »
Just received an email from the Tonic shoppe about Moscot eyewear, had never heard of this brand but they are in NYC (which I'm heading to in a couple of weeks to check out the final stop of the "David Bowie is" show at the Brooklyn museum), and looks like they're worth a stop

My brother has been wearing them for years.  He loves them and they do a very H Palmer style.  Pretty sure they are available in the UK now too.

Some very nice shades there, Mike. Most models are interesting takes on iconic Shuron, Persol and Ray-Ban frames. Not cheap, tho'

We went to the BOWIE thing at the V&A Museum in London a few years back. Stunning mate. You'll love it.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it, it's the final stop for the show and they added his last notes, etc., from Blackstar and the play he wrote...

Enjoy the exhibition mate. If it is like the London one will become the yardstick by which other similar events will be measured. Those shades look nice too mate. Spot on.

Some nice choices in their range and good to see they are widely available in the UK now (certainly in London). The Bowie exhibition was top notch at the V&A , enjoy !

I’m not sure what that style of shades is called Mike. Very popular in the mid sixties. I think my Dad had a pair but they seem hard to come by now. I seem to remember vintage pics of Weller wearing them too.

Some decent frames on the website too but I’d prefer to try them on rather than take a punt on them working with an internet sale. I’ll try and get to the shop next time I’m in NY.
