Had a great time last night in the company of Dave Davies. As I suspected and has been reported Dave was a little vague to say the least with regard to details of the bands career, recording techniques, opinions on his own back catalogue. But was he entertaining?? You bet. A jolly old gent who is barely recognisable from his heyday but full of smiles and quips. Confirmed The Kinks would be working together again on new and old unfinished material and would himself be touring the US next year with a small group of musicians. No mention of live Kinks stuff though. Praised Steve Marriott's voice and how he thought The Beatles had run out of ideas with the 'boring' WHITE ALBUM too but all done with a smile and a glint in his eye. Not your standard QA session by any means but well worth it.

Sounds like a great soirée, Martin. Maybe Dave's memory isn't what it used to be or he's bored after years of questions about the band's golden years, but no doubt he was in a good mood.
