Purchased from Michael Ferrante via his facebook page "Watch the Cloth Moth" this, along with suits and other jackets just aren't getting worn.

This is probably the best jacket I've owned. Just superb tailored sports coat by Gieves of Saville Row. This was before they partnered with Hawkes and Mike and I both thing the jacket is early to mid 60's although there is no date on the inside label, but the styling definitely puts it at around this period. It's in mint condition without marks or stains and doesn't have that musty old clothes smell either.

3 button with single vent it's spot on for a 40" chest and I can supply additional measurements if needed. The wool is very heavy almost like a Harris tweed, so perfect for Autumn/Winter.

It will come with a superb vintage shirt (ivory/cream) and a cracking vintage tie.

For all 3 I'd accept just 100.

I'll let the photos speak for themselves:

Truly a beauty, Steve, but too big for me.

Cheers Steve, that pic reminds me you were one of the sharpest cats around here. I myself am wearing more casual stuff these days on a regular basis, and I'm sure you're still equally smart in less formal clobber  8).

Thanks! Yes, it's such a shame but as my clients get younger I no longer feel the need to get suited and booted to see them.  I've retained a couple of sports jackets from Claudio but that's about it sadly.

Anyway, I'm pleased to say the jacket, shirt and tie has now been sold to a forum member.

I'm the lucky forum member to purchase this jacket (cheers Steve). I do have a similar issue to Steve in that in my office the Exec have decided that to placate all the millenials coming into the office full dress down is required which is really disappointing to say the least. I did try and rebel but got the three line whip by the MD that I had to stop wearing suits etc as I looked like I was going to an interview everyday. So its Chinos /knitwear for me (I refuse to wear jeans to work like most others). Luckily I go into London twice a month to see clients so can dress formally then. Even though it wont get lots of wear, I couldn't bypass Steve's jacket ;)

Nice one, Mark! And I absolutely agree with you re. the dress code: though to some it might sound like a middle-aged bloke rant, it's a shame companies and civil service -yes, in Spain is happening too- are loosening so much their dress code.
