Motown buffs should check out this new Ace comp of british 60s singers and bands covering some Berry Gordy's label hits & misses. Some well known covers here -Steve Marriott's vocals on "You've really got a hold on me" still send shivers down my spine- but some surprises too (Cilla Black teaming with Sounds Inc?) and a fine overall selection:

Looking good mate. Like a sort of reverse of Motown Sings the Beatles type thing that they did.
