Sorry Laird , never heard of them before . Apart from the Specials , Madness and the Selecter - l left the Two-Tone thing alone . .personally , l wouldn't go and see any of the current incarnations of those three either. .

They played a local boozer when ah wis a lanky, plooky-faced underage drinker young mod in second hand 60s gear.  Later oan they came back tae support Bad Manners at yin ay the Grangemooth Toon Hall gigs that wur organised by local entrepreneur Brian Guthrie (big brother tae Robin ay Cocteau Twins fame).

Highlight ay thir set used tae be a ska version ay The Sweeney theme tune.

Some ay them eventually went oan tae become Fiction Factory n' even goat oan TOTP but they werenae ma cup ay tea in that version.

Met yin ay them at the Loch Lomond Festival the year The Jam n' The Chords played.  Wis a decent bloke.

Aye , Fiction Factory is the only band I know from that neck of the woods.

I saw Specials and Madness at the Apollo back in the day and l went to see the Selecter on more recent times , with Pauline being the only original remember l think . I have also seen Specials recently but felt the sound wasn't quite right with the absence of Neville.

I recall the Loch Lomond gig you mentioned that had a mix of Mods , punks and then the greebos too . I remember that the Chords were quite a friendly bunch , my mate got a cigarette off of Chris Pope l think.
