I concur, Marvin is the embodiment of cool in that, including his gunboat brogues.

Yeah the embodiment of cool and Hard Mod , although apparently,  the term Hard Mod did not exist back in the day. .

Yeah , a good fillum and l first saw that on the tv when l was still at school. .
It was the kind if fillum that all yer buddies talked about the next day " hey , did you see that fillum last night . ."

I watched it again the last time you mentioned it . The enduring memory for me is big Lee walking along that corridor.  .it looks like he about to deal with a coupla Rockers    . .

He deals with the Mafia (sort of) instead. Watched it a couple times, it's an avant-garde film-noir, partly influenced by the french New Wave and European cinema, the screenplay thus isn't that coherent, and the lines between good and evil are blurred to say the least, but it makes for fascinating view. British newcomer John Boorman directed the project with fairly free hands and it shows, as he's usually a very interesting director when he enjoys free rein.

Aye - couldnae help but be aware ay Prime Cut.  My Da worked as a butcher fur a few years when he first left school.  Finished his apprenticeship but quit eventually tae work in a chemical plant cos it paid better.

As ye say another good fillum but ah'd argue the lapels ur mibbe too wide fur mod tastes.

Haven't seen the film, suits in the clip were all right, style wise, I preferred McQueen's look in  "Bullit" better... on another note, video host needs a trip to the barber's and a shave! ;D
