Due to the success of our Sell Out 2019 August Bank Holiday event in conjunction with Modesty, we will be returning to provide you with the only smart dress only Summer Bank Holiday mid Weekender between Fast Way of Living on the Friday and Modesty Brighton on the Saturday, in the basement club at Al Duomo, 7 Pavilion Buildings, Brighton BN1 1EE.

Tickets available via PayPal. We are doing our early bird deal again at 16 for tickets for the two events or 10 for each night. Early bird expires April 1st so be quick if you want to take advantage. PayPal to modestybrighton@outlook.com and PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR ADDRESS DETAILS AND WHICH NIGHT YOU WANT THE TICKETS FOR (Modesty Only tockets will not be available for general sale until March at the earliest)

We are pleased to announce our DJ's for this wonderful evening as:

Dave Edwards - Who doesn't know Dave? Dave has been one of the guv'nors of the UK Mod Scene since day dot - name one place he hasn't spun discs at worth noting?! With one of the biggest and most diverse record collections on the planet, he's bound to get you on your feet... In the meantime, check out his monthly event in London, Sidewinder...

Alvaro Dimples - For those of you who've not come across Alvaro - he needs a strong introduction! Alvaro is a firm favourite at Fast Way... He basically controls the Spanish Mod Scene's taste in records with blistering (and I mean BLISTERING) Rhythm and Blues, Authentic Jazz and British Beat Treats - Hark back to the sound of The Scene in '63 with him!

Jodie Richardson - Coming back to our Brighton Bank Holiday Special for the second year running, Miss Richardson isn't a rival to the Krays (thank god) but she's definitely feisty bringing girl power to the mix - having DJ'd pretty much everywhere recently - Jodie's taste is very much Sneakers. Keep an eye...

Callum Sammon - When we asked for a Northerner, god gave us one that's sizeable in this mountain of a man - Callum is back again to show off his taste in Heavy Blues, Sweet Soul and Raunchy R&B, last year he knocked the socks off us with unknowns and songs everybody should know and we all twisted the night away with him.

Ian Bryden - Well, you all know Ian now pretty much, he's our partner in most of these events, runs the amazing Modesty event on the Saturday, a very good mate and someone who genuinely understands authentic mod music, he'll be there with the usual delights and a box of records to make you dammmmmmn envious!

Lucas Gomersall - Lucas is our main man and runs our internationally famous events on a day to day basis - having brought a new idea back to mod by playing the authentic club tunes of the era, from teen club Rhythm and Blues Pop to monstrous Motown hits, Lucas will be guaranteed to get you Twisting, Hully Gullying, Doing the Dog, Jiving with your Partner, the Wah Watusi and then getting you back up again with a Pace Setting Block Record!

Just realised I hadn't updated this, [Lucas posted this on Facebook page at end of June)

"with the deepest regret, we have made the decision to cancel our 2020 event and postpone the festivities until 2021 and you'll see by a date change for us.

As you can imagine, this has been a very tough decision to make and although we are the first to postpone from the August Bank Holiday calendar, we're happy to make it.

Although the government have said they are going to be reviewing social distancing on 4th July, we are damn sure this will only reduce to 1m and will most likely include the wearing of masks etc. We believe this will ruin the atmosphere of the club and we do not want to contribute to a second wave of coronavirus. Also, it's had a massive impact on the financial state of many of our customers and we know there are going to be a lot of cancellations as a result.

Please, let us know if you would like to be refunded or we will hold your ticket until 2021... There will be a reward in the post for those who keep their tickets for next year!

Roll on 2021 and as ever, stay safe."
