Rome's purchases, if any?

Pizza and gelato!

Despite your great suggestions we were pure tourists and walked all over the city but didn't get the time to do any shopping. It did seem that we walked past a few great looking one-off shops selling leather jackets or blazers etc but it's not so easy to manouevre in and out of these tiny doorways with a bairn in a pushchair so we kept it moving. Next time! Put coins in the fountain so there will be a next time!

The fountain was undergoing renovation when we were there, but still we managed to throw some coins!

We were there a couple of years back full of blokes working and surrounded with clear plastic sheeting which was a bit of a disappointment. Loved the city though. Top of my list as a revisit.

Bought ootay nostalgia as much as anyhing else cos ah owned yin in the 80s which ah wore tae death at that time.

US Army surplus gaberdine trench coat.  Ideal fur today's s**tey weather n' an eBay snip at 24.95.

This isnae ma photie, but it's this type ay coat.  Sure a few other revival veterans will huv owned yin in the past.  Wis also ideal fur wearin' tae Joy Division or Echo and the Bunnymen  gigs.

Awreddy own much smarter macs, but this yin will be ideal fur long walks in the pissin' doon rain.

Yep I had one as a lad too. Pretty much exactly the same as Spider had in QUADROPHENIA. Nice one fella.

All this talk of seersucker jackets made me pull the trigger on this 1960s Squire Shop jacket on ETSY. Hope it fits. Always a worry measuring things against sizes on-line and jackets you own already but confident I should be good on this.

I too had the bottle green trench coat , my wee pal Albi ( who followed the same team as Laird , all over Europe) had the Spider version and loved it if you referred to him as Spider ..

I have a couple of Mac's now but no trench coat at the moment . .

I have a similar jacket to that seeksucker number , Martin , love it . .hopefully it will fit you like a glove. .
I wont make any deals with you , I've resigned. .
I wont be pushed, filed , stamped , indexed , briefed , debriefed OR NUMBERED!

I hear Gary Shail still has the original Mac. Mine was like his very lightweight and thin. I do like the heavier more substantial ones like Lairds so top marks. Cheers mate I hope it fits but maybe not as tight as a glove!
