If ye wur a gentleman ye wid huv bought it anyway and posted it tae Becky to wear over her jammies so she kin keep warm.

I honestly doubt Becky'll get cold with all her coats; in fact, I'm sure she's even got more jumpers than me!  :-\

Today we had around 29c , which was too hot even for the trains , which went off . It was even too hot for a thin polo shirt , definitely taps aff Wednesday . .unheard of in these climes , l blame the World Cup. .😀😬😂

29c? Winter weather around these parts

Yeah , goodness knows what it will be like when summer finally turns up . .

I don't understand you brits, always complaining about the weather. I thought you were fed up with rain and cold! Meanwhile, down here thermometers don't get lower than 19-20 ºC and that won't change till at least september. Tropical nights anyone? Get ready for Madrid, Woody.

I've been installing disabled ramps all week in the baking sun....totally exhausted!

Would not like to be doing my job in sunnier countries that's for sure.

Looking forward to Madrid GS....many thanks again for your input my friend.

Seersucker DNA jacket just in time for the hot weather......

Is this by chance, Brian? Gorgeous…

I'm with Martin on this, seersucker numbers are the quintessential summer jacket. In fact, when I had the chance I comissioned one from my tailor with Loro Piana fabric. Not cheap, but it's my pride and joy and always gets compliments.

Yep, that's the one, should have in my hands tomorrow!

I always keep my eye open for 'Dead Men's Shoes' as I call them. Meaning old Vintage/used/Second-Hand (however you want to refer to them) shoes in a style I like which fit. My latest pick up is an early '70s pair of heavy duty loafers with an interesting split-toe detail. Welted, lined and with a heavy heel and 'Blakeys' too. Sound like bloody Gene Kelly walking along in them. Fantastic condition and an absolute bargain at a 'tenner'. Pictured to spice things up with my latest 1960s issue of PLAYBOY which is always a fantastic source of old clothes and lifestyle ads from the era featuring some fantastic bits of clobber. (I paid more for that than I did the shoes!)

Rod: Yeah the articles but mostly the adverts. It's funny but this particular issue is the one that got old Hugh Hefner up on an obscenity charge.

Laird. Sorry don't get the reference I'm afraid. Maybe a movie I've not seen?
