Cap looks alright mate. I ain't a big hat wearer but when it is wet or cold I have a similar one and a Navy kinda 'Dexy's' wool thing. Like that popover in the centre pic mate.

Cheers, Martin! The popover is John Simons'. I once got a Dexies-style cap as a Xmas gift, really like the look of those simple wool caps (is beanies the term?) but it looked wrong on me, so I passed on it. The flat cap, however, seems to look right.

Hi, everybody. Some holiday's pics.

Not a hats' fan, but this old irish cap was a present from my father. I decided to give it a try and I have to admit I'm getting used to it, so much I'm entertaining the idea of getting a quality cap for the winter. I saw some nice Stetson ones in France, but they were pricey and not quite what I'm looking for.

Take a look at the bunnets oan here mate.

Good pics Sydney ! I like hats out of neccessity mostly , I have a couple of different styles including one similar to yours . I reckon you are wearing your Español bespoke shoes in one of the pics that look great too. .

Hope you and the family had a fantastic holiday . .

Yeah, that's the idea, Laird, thanks, and well priced they are too. Anyway, I reckon Harris Tweed might be too heavy a cloth for our mild winters, so I'll take a look first at the couple of old headgear shops we've got here.

Thank you, Simon. As usual, holidays seem to be too short, but we've really enjoyed them. Re the shoes, I'm pretty happy with them, top class loafers (and really comfortable, what's not to like?).

The Laid's tip is a good one, very cool stuff. I can understand why Harris Tweed is too heavy for ya (in Austria winter can be really cold, so I am very tempted by those) - I would suggest Hanna Hats:

Thanks for the tip, Leer, and good to have you back here. Love the vintage linen cap, that would be up my alley, as our winters are no more harsh than a Vienna's spring. But I'll try to find something cheaper and spanish made.

Nice pic too, tho' I wouldn't be seen dead in sandals  ;D. The rest of the outfit isn't mod, of course, but it's a smart summer look anyway, one that suits you well.
