Afternoon all,

Due to work commitments, family commitments, holidays and generally enjoying the best UK summer we've had in years, I've been a little inactive on these pages recently.

Anyway, here's a photo taken at the top of the Mailbox in Birmingham last weekend when a few of us like-minded souls from the Fusion On Air possee (there are a few active members also contributing to Modculture from time to time) met up for our second annual get together.

It appears that my ensemble wasn't to everyone's taste (mainly my friends who look on me as an eccentric throwback) and cries of "stripes AND checks/ have you been playing golf/ did you forget your tweed cap/ you weirdo" have been ringing in my ears ever since. Personally, I didn't think there was an issue but what do I know!

So, for what it's worth, I was "sporting" an Art Gallery button through cardigan, Gabicci strides and a pair of walnut brown, hand-made Italian Chelsea boots.................plus a pint of the finest apple juice!

Welcome back, my favourite MC rock critic! TBH, I usually avoid mixing checks with stripes myself, but I've done it sometimes and I find nothing wrong with your outfit, Ian. In fact, I like the trousers.

Cheers all!

Hopefully, I'll be able to get involved in these hallowed pages again now that summer appears to be over.
