All together now....

"How much?!?"

https://www.slazengerheritage.com/

Had a few ay them slazenger jumpers back in the day.  Liked them but no enough tae pay £158 FFS,

Strange hing is Sports Direct churns oot loads ay s**tey slazenger efforts at a fiver a go, so even if ye splashed oot oan the jumper a good proportion ay folk wid hink ye'd paid less than a tenner fur it.   :)

As far as ah know the "slazenger heritage" label is a different operation.  If they knock a hunner quid off the price ah might be tempted.

Indeed , it was only €158 but that isnae far off £158. .

It is easy to get a quality merino sweater in TK max for around £30 with no logo on it

This is very nice, but awfy pricey at £150.

Niiiice, I usually keep an eye on LVC's new offerings, but this one I'd missed. Bloody expensive, though!

All the sizes of this are back in at Levi's:

This wool rollneck grabbed my attention because of the twin tipped detail, as it's very similar to a grey italian one I own. This is italian too (Dondup), but a bit more expensive than mine (280 €)

Scottish knitwear manufacturers with a heritage to speak of seem to be a hot commodity in Italy last years, as some italian firms have purchased dying scottish brands (at least, the name and the know-how, as most make their products in Italy) to relive them, trying to appeal to high-spending consumers.

McRitchie is one such brand, they make classic pieces with a loose retro (from the 40s to the 60s) vibe. Of course, they're quality - I can vouch for that, as I own a couple of McR garments- and somewhat expensive, and a lot of their garments are gorgeous. Case in point, this merino jumper (that goes to my next sales' list):

That pocket is just ghastly. Who’s idea was that? Hanging’s too good for him!

But it’s a pocket on a jumper Syd - a JUMPER! Where’s the outrage for this abomination?

I think we've gone over this ground before and see both sides. Certainly given the choice I'd prefer without but a seemingly useless pocket on a top was a trademark of '60s knitwear and casual tops. I have a short sleeve one very similar to this myself though.

I think the pocket looks okay on that one , it would be handy for your ciggies , if you are still a smoker. . ;)
I wont make any deals with you , I've resigned. .

I plead guilty, lol! Funnily, I never use the chest pockets for carrying ciggies, I like them (the pockets) just for aesthetical reasons (the supreme outrage: watch out for your arterial pressure, Rod!)
