Trucker jacket in tweed might start to approach the look of those hideous 'blanket jackets' my mates in college would wear - a blouson style jacket made in a rough wool texture, usually worn with baggy jeans and nylon and suede running trainers. **shudder**.

Argh! That's a bit of an extreme example. I'm thinking more like something Jerry might have worn in 'Seinfeld'.

After the shock had worn off (I'm still a bit shaky) I looked a bit closer. The half-unzipped fleece was a really bad choice IMO. It adds nothing but scruffiness to the ensemble.
School boy error.

These are interesting and might go with a pair of white levi's perhaps. I feel a bit nautical looking at them. They are in a sale for 66 down from 110 if that makes any difference to you.

I like them as a very casual oxford, in fact I should get me a pair of casual black leather oxfords for everyday use, maybe a touch more formal than these ones. Anyway, those look comfortable and it's a good price.

But as summer seems to be ebbing away I am probably gonna look for a non fabric/suade option, anything interesting out there ?
