Clarks do something similar and without the "odd" looking sole:

Cheaper too...........

The Clarks are lovely, prefer them to the Playboys I had. Got a pair in November and wore them all over Christmas.

Right choice then, Neil. I've just made the purchase, only fear they're too narrow, but I've found Clarks sizing's usually generous.

My feet are wide and they are sound.

What do you think? I'd love to get a pair of Playboy's chukkas but they're a little expensive, so this is the cheaper alternative, a new spanish brand named The Seeker.

NO....

Does the crepe sole operate on hydraulics?  Could certainly slove the issue of hitting the deck whilst wearing crepe soles in the rain.   :D

I'm liking this jacket but don't know much about this company - anybody?

http://www.bosidengmenswear.com/uk/jackets-coats/casual-jackets/wool-mix-padded-casual-jacket-24016

they were briefly discussed previously in the thread but i dont think anyone had first hand experience. I saw them in a GQ feature, and they have a london flagship store so I would imagine it isn't complete crap... but only one way to find out!

When I was in London last August I went to their flagship store. They seem to milk the current heritage trend, using models with iconic beards and Hipster tattoos. The irony is that they are a new Chinese brand and most stuff is made in China, but I think they also had English brogues.

There were no customers in the store and loads of items were on sale. I tried some tweed trousers. They were scratchy as hell and the cut didn't flatter me at all.

Contentious as it will be, and I certainly would pay no more than of what they're asking for it but...

... I do quite like this for a summer T...

Contentious is not the word. I almost brought up my pain au chocolat when I saw that.... :D

Hi Adam, in which case I suggest you avoid all food items and keep a bucket near by should you decide to check out the Fred Perry Scooterboy collection!! (See websites thread... With all due trepidation!!)
