To be fair this thread is about whether you'd wear something not buy it. It's 175 in the UK and Stuarts of London only have 1 left in stock, so I guess people both like them and are buying them too. Do I like it? Yes. Would I buy it? Probably not at 175 but it's still a nice looking jacket.

Agreed. Just that FP do wind me up with their nonsense most of the time.  No I wouldn't wear it even if it was free... ;D

Made from the finest English polyester

It's only 65% Polyester, don't exaggerate !  ;D

I just thought it wasn't a bad looking jacket, compared to the designs they've been coming out with lately...

;D I should add that I do like the jacket  :) I'm just sick of the "Made in USA" or "Made in England" as a marketing ploy to inflate the price of an item

Not as worse as Ben Sherman's "Designed in England" (made in china) nonsense though

Yes, it wouldn't be that expensive, if they actually made the entire run of the lines in the US or UK... instead of a couple of items here and there.

Actually 175 isn't too bad compared to the Baracuta nonsense. It isn't cheap to make here..

But what if they were mass produced in the UK (or US)? It would be more expensive maybe than China, but would it be double or triple the price retail?
I'm always wondering about this, I know brands like FP are owned by big conglomerates, who want to maximize profit, but at what point is it just price gouging...
