I have a  Schott  "Slim Fit" I bought a few years back.which is a really nice fit, except for the nautical themed buttons, having a hard time finding a plain replacement, since the button holes are huge.

Pea coats should have "anchor" buttons, its part of the style.

I've got a US Navy Issue 740N. Got it in a New York army & navy store on my honeymoon a few years ago. Its getting plenty of wear this winter.

Anchor buttons are good with me. Original USN coats are great. Our Stirlingwear one (USN contractor) is IMO probably the best new one out there, apart from the hugely expensive Buzz Rickson one which I'm sure is pretty good. The Schott ones are good too of course.

I think that's a replica of the original USN pea coat isn't it Mike?

Yes Harry, I believe so.
Schott has a "traditional" cut one (740 N Classic), this one looks the same but is slim fitting, much nicer look I think.
What I liked about the Adam coat was the fit and the slightly longer length, made it a little "dressier". Looks like the buttons weren't a hit, though  ;)

I would've loved one of those knitted tipped T's years ago.

Wouldn't be bad for a cycling top now but eh I can wait for a sale.
