Alexandra Bastedo went to school with my older sister & used to come round to ours for tea when I was far too young to appreciate her talents !

Nice one. .

I quite like this shacket from the COS by Mr Porter collection, but the fact I purchased a similar D&G one just some months ago is preventing me from pulling the trigger. Thoughts?

I'd probably like a slightly bigger collar but, yeah, I'd wear that, GS. Perfect for Northern Ireland summer evenings, when it's too warm for a coat but often not warm enough for short sleeves.

Are those buttons or press studs ? I have a similar item I sourced from GAP but it has a zip fastener , similar to a Harrington . . 8)

My thoughts too, Gonzo, collar a tad too small but it's a minor quibble.

Simon, I'm not sure but I guess they might be press studs, I'll have another look.

Good choice, Mike, for me this top is the nicest of their current spring/summer range, but I prefer the coffee colourway, maybe I pull the trigger on that.

I'm getting really sick of seeing macs in striking colours and then finding that they are barely longer than a blazer.
I realise there isn't much of a market for ankle length duster coats right now, but if the main purpose of a mac is to protect you from rain, let it at least cover SOME of the bottom half, otherwise I might as well not bother. At least half way to the knees or I'm out. Shame really.
