Mose Allison Sings the Seventh Son (Prestige '63 or '64 mono Van Gelder recording)
Durand Jones and the Indications "American Love Call"
Unloved "Heartbroken"
Bobby Womack "The Poet"
Martin Freeman and Eddie Piller Present "Soul on the Corner"

Not bad, Mike, "Sings the 7th son" is the first Mose Allison album I purchased. A classic.

I'm really digging it, GS. The copy I picked up has seen better days, still playable though...

Mine's a bit ragged too, but as I take good care of my vinyl, no scratches or bad damage in it.

Which turntable set up do you have , Sydney. .
I wont make any deals with you , I've resigned. .
I wont be pushed, filed , stamped , indexed , briefed , debriefed OR NUMBERED!

No turntable at the moment, pal, believe it or not I've got no room for it at home right now, maybe that's why my vinyls keep their mint condition  ;). Last I owned was a Yamaha record player with Harman Kardon sound (amp, equalizer...) and JBL (if I recall correctly) soundspeakers. State-of-the-art sound when I purchased it. Now I make do with a Nakamichi CD player (great overall sound and especially bass, tbh) and the computer.

Four For The Floor, the official Smal Faces EP by Acid Jazz. Four "I can't help dancing" instrumentals sourced from the original DECCA masters  ;)

Mmm, The cat, one of the catchier Jimmy Smith tunes, enjoy the fireworks, mr. Bond, he's obviously on fire in that one. And what can I say about the Getz/Gilberto collab, a classic!

My Buddie Larry bought me the Cat years ago on CD and it had instant appeal ( wee Larry knows his music) .  I saw the vinyl on a heavy weight reissue in the Bargain section and couldn't resist . It was a similar story with Getz/Gilberto , had it on CD for years but l first heard that one in the late 8ts as a girlfriend who happened to have a rather expensive turntable had it on vinyl . .so again  heavyweight reissue , for 10.

I'd call that a Bargain.  .
