Literally just finished watching Alfie. Haven't seen it in a few years and enjoyed it.
And my soul has been psychedelicized.

Definitely Caine. I wouldn't even entertain the idea of watching the Jude Law one.

The first "Alfie" is a good movie (and Caine is outstanding in it), I wonder why Hollywood bothers time after time churning expensive and invariably inferior remakes of classics that are best left alone. Lack of ideas, I guess

It's like when Gus Van Sant (a fine director in his own right) filmed that stupid shot-for-shot remake of "Psycho", pointless even as a post-modern statement

Steve McQueen film dramatization of the 1968  "Mangrove Protest" trial, pretty good soundtrack, too.
