Title: John Stephen Carnaby Street prints ending 28th Feb 21
Post by: artandhue on February 22, 2021, 10:41:18 AM
As they've been posted about in the forum previously, just to let everyone know that the John Stephen Carnaby Street collection, with Mary Quant, Jeff Beck, Mick Avory, Peter Hinwood, and others, is coming to an end on Sunday the 28th of February 2021 after a great four years.

In 1957, a 23-year-old Scotsman called John Stephen opened up the first fashionable menswear boutique aimed at young men on Carnaby Street and proceeded to build a retail empire on the street, making it globally-famous as the heart of Swinging London during the 1960s.

All prints are available in three sizes and many colours.

Hi there!

Just purchased one of your works via your etsy platform... The Mary Quant/John Stephen print in A2...
I am always happy to support artists who have an Mod-inspired aesthetic! Once I have it framed on my wall in my new home, I will send you a photo! I consider it a housewarming gift to myself! Lol!

Hi, Becky! Glad to see you back, hope everything's going well for you Downunder, looks like covid's a thing of the past there, well done!

Despite dealing with a break up, planning a friend's funeral - not COVID-19 related - and moving house, I am doing OK. COVID-19 has eased somewhat as I managed to go out to a Beatles tribute act here in Ballarat, as I haven't been to a gig in Melbourne  (Rhoda Dakar) since COVID hit us hard.
It's nice to be out again, even if I still have to wear a mask! Buying my own place - thanks to my mother's generosity of giving me most of her inheritance to me - and moving in has been an up and down rollercoaster of emotions. I have bought many items to furnish it with and have stuff I wish to sell, also. A place to call my own, if you will...

Wow, looks like it's been a non-stop phase for you, glad things seem to be turning out fine, and congrats for your new place, a very kind gesture by your Mum indeed. I'm afraid the "mask look" will be with us for a long time, but it's a small price to pay if we leave behind the pandemic. Take care, young lady.
