COVID-19? Never heard of it! LOL!

Out and about in Bendigo today with some CWA friends... CWA in Australia is like the WI in the UK...

Oh, crossover between forums, that's nice!  ;) Looking good, Becky, I'm sure you enjoyed the exhibition.  8)

It was great, especially when going with other women I'd nornally meet up possibly at a CWA Victoria State Conference, which this year will be in Ballarat...
1960s model, Claire Fiander's MQ Ginger Group Liberty print dress was there... and I have EXACTLY the same one... I am going again on Australian Mother's Day (May 9) and plan to wear it whilst meeting another CWA lady from another Branch.

Hi there!

Just purchased one of your works via your etsy platform... The Mary Quant/John Stephen print in A2...
I am always happy to support artists who have an Mod-inspired aesthetic! Once I have it framed on my wall in my new home, I will send you a photo! I consider it a housewarming gift to myself! Lol!

Hi, Becky! Glad to see you back, hope everything's going well for you Downunder, looks like covid's a thing of the past there, well done!

Despite dealing with a break up, planning a friend's funeral - not COVID-19 related - and moving house, I am doing OK. COVID-19 has eased somewhat as I managed to go out to a Beatles tribute act here in Ballarat, as I haven't been to a gig in Melbourne  (Rhoda Dakar) since COVID hit us hard.
It's nice to be out again, even if I still have to wear a mask! Buying my own place - thanks to my mother's generosity of giving me most of her inheritance to me - and moving in has been an up and down rollercoaster of emotions. I have bought many items to furnish it with and have stuff I wish to sell, also. A place to call my own, if you will...

Like the henleys, I stop wearing my FPs since they've been commandeered by RW hate groups in the US lately...

Sorry to hear that, Mike, a shame that kind of association prevent you from wearing a brand we like. That was the case here some years ago, but fortunately not anymore. BTW I love the henley too

They prefer the black w/ gold tipping polos. There's also another neo nazi group that were wearing chinos and BD shirts, and even another armed fringe group that identifies itself with Hawaiian print shirts...
It's crazy times now in the States, I hate to say.
That said, I bought the white/black tipped henley ;) Hopefully no group other than "California Surfers" will take up that look!

Fred Perry take action.

Fred Perry has pulled one of its famous polo shirts after it became associated with a neo-fascist organisation.

Heard about that on BBC World Service, they are withdrawing it from the States and Canada.

Received three of the new Jackpot shirts from Mod Shoes this week (I'm getting some of my Christmas presents in early  ;D).

1. The Blue, Red, Orange Large Tartan L/S - https://www.modshoes.co.uk/product/the-jackpot-blue-red-orange-large-tartan-high-collar-button-down-long-sleeve-shirt-mod-skin-style-copy/
2. The Brown, Orange, White Tartan S/S (I wanted the L/S but they'd already sold out in my size  :() - https://www.modshoes.co.uk/product/the-jackpot-brown-orange-white-tartan-high-collar-button-down-short-sleeve-shirt-mod-skin-style/
3. The Turquoise Tartan L/S - https://www.modshoes.co.uk/product/the-jackpot-turquoise-tartan-high-collar-button-down-long-sleeve-shirt-mod-skin-style/

I then went on the site last night to see they've released further Monkey Jackets in new colours.  Pondering the Caramel, which I think would go nicely with a few tops I've got.  Now, who can I ask to get me this for Christmas  ;D

The Jackpot is the show's stealer to me, Chilli, but Andy's shirts are a deserved sucess. Enjoy them!

Err, which one Rafa; they're all Jackpot shirts  ;D

I'm sure I will get to enjoy them; eventually  :(

Sorry, you're right, I meant this one: https://www.modshoes.co.uk/product/the-jackpot-turquoise-tartan-high-collar-button-down-long-sleeve-shirt-mod-skin-style/
Unfortunately , not in small faces sizing. .

Andrew told me they'd try to cover all sizes, Simon, as he himself has tiny mates, but maybe not with these. The racing jacket I bought from him was a S and fit was quite good if a bit on the wide side.

I have a couple of pairs of shoes from him and sized down on both. Nice shirts but l am clearly not a 38" so don't wear that size . When l walked into buy my Argyll kilt jacket the guy said to me , "Ah you're a 34"  . To my great surprise it fitted whereas l would generally buy a 36" .
Sizing is all over the shop nowadays.  Claudio is the same size as me so l just ask him if the item fits him l( if l were buying from him) lol

I have the same issue, but in trousers/skirts. Sometimes I can be a 6, 8 or 10! It always depends on which brand you buy. Fortunately when I buy vintage dresses, I'll have them all altered to fit as buying my size 6/8 (Twiggy) is extremely rare.  :o

As for shoes, I am a UK 6, AUS 8, US 8 or 9, EU 39. I have a second hand pair of Weejuns (best $6 investment ever) at a US 8.5 that fit perfect too.
