I have always liked this style jacket from being a kid in the early 1970s. It was just the thing that all young lads gradually getting into clothes wanted back then.Of course they were always just cheap things from the Army Surplus shop in Walworth Road or from the local market. Now I have half a dozen ranging from cheap and cheerful Matalan and Ben Sherman right up to a Baracuta and a vintage US 1960s Sportsmaster. Various colours some of which offer a more casual look while others can be worn with a pair of decent trousers and look that bit smarter. Certainly a staple of my wardrobe and I think always will be. That DNA Groove one is nice and much like the Sportsmaster I have with button cuffs and a plain bottom without the elasticated hem.

DNA Groove is indeed nice. As is Diabolik's blue.
I think I'm convinced I need one. Problems now are:
1. Tan or dark blue. I'm thinking blue. But I own far too many blue clothes...
2. Price. Go for an original (£275!) or risk a cheaper version

for punting about it (as this jacket is inevitable used for) I have the ben sherman.  like the lining over a tartan (its kind of gingham).  the black picks up lots of bits though
Mrs Peel....Were needed.

You can have my purple one for £50. Only worn twice. Still have the tags somewhere.

I've just ordered myself a beige raglan from JTG. The reviews are good and convinced me to part with my £50.

I used to have a Navy one of theirs with a Prince of Wales lining which was much nicer than the red check in most. I sold it but for the life of me can't think why  :-[

Hadn't seen those, thanks.
