Not a film but a 1966 documentary called A Boy Called Donovan. Interesting enough. Well, if you like Donovan that is.

Good stuff, Mo. I remember his contemporary appearance in "Don't Look Back", he seemed a bit uncomfortable, maybe that "British Dylan" tag; of course, he outgrew that later for good.

I wonder if Dylan had that on other people too. Possibly.
Lennon didn't seem fazed when he and Dylan were in a car shooting around London but then again he wasn't out sounding like Dylan in a big way at all apart from a couple of songs particularly a certain one from Help.
Suppose it was just a matter of time for Donovan outgrowing the Dylan influence. Hence the sitar on the Sunshine Superman album.

In fact, Donovan bloomed into a very talented pop-folk bard, with a style that was much his own and had little to do with later Dylan

Not a particularly good film in my opinion but I gave it a whirl.
Music by Strawberry Alarm Clock and the Seeds. Ridiculous in part performance from Jack Nicholson, especially in the so called psychedelic group.
Psych Out 1968

A typical over the top psychploitation movie, but worth watching, even if only for the period charm, the cast (a who's who of "New Hollywood") and of course the featured bands

Definitely worth a look. I actually like some of the gear they're wearing.

Anyone with access to it, I'd recommend "La Piscine" from '69.

Got the DVD, Mike. Just for Romy in her prime it's worth the price of admission alone

Good?  Well, not exactly. OK though especially for the London street scenes.
Interesting to see Python Carol Cleveland four years before, er Python.
